Sushi Sakana began as a small neighborhood sanctuary for sushi lovers—an intimate spot where meticulous craftsmanship, fresh fish, and gracious service quietly drew a loyal following. Over time, guests started driving across town simply to dine here, calling it their “only” sushi destination in DFW, a place worth the extra miles for its freshness, warmth, and value. From those early days, our intention was never to be the biggest, but to be the restaurant people instinctively think of when they crave honest, beautifully prepared sushi in a space that feels like their own.

As word spread, Sushi Sakana evolved from a single neighborhood favorite into a growing DFW brand—expanding thoughtfully while preserving its intimate, local soul.
Today, with four locations across Plano, Southlake, Uptown Dallas, and Las Colinas, and two additional restaurants, including Frisco, on the way, we are becoming a familiar presence in more communities without ever feeling impersonal.
Each opening is guided by our guests: we follow where they live, work, and gather, creating elevated yet approachable sushi destinations that feel less like chains and more like “your” sushi place in every neighborhood.
